Risk Disclosure

Business financing exposes your capital to risks, particularly in case of early-stage businesses. The risk of default can result in the loss of all or part of your investment, incur costs or delays in being paid. Each financing facility will have a finance contract, entered into between the business, the investor and Funding Souq, acting as investors’ Investment Agent. Funding Souq does not provide transfer of loan facility and businesses are not allowed to seek financing on other crowdfunding platforms during the commitment period.

Funding Souq will have no financial interest in any of the prospects and it will not advertise businesses outside its platform. The use of credit cards is not allowed for Retail investors and all investors should generally be aware that the use of borrowed capital poses an even greater risk. The risk and credit assessment provided by Funding Souq is only a guideline and you will need to evaluate the creditworthiness of the underlying business. As compared to Retail clients, Professional Clients (categorised as such, under the DFSA Rules) will qualify for preferential pro-rata investing allocation through auto investing facility. Funding Souq Ltd. is regulated by the DFSA under license number F005822 and operates an Islamic Window. Details of its Shariah Supervisory Board (SSB) are available on its web-site and details of frequency and manner of Shariah Reviews are available on request. Funding Souq maintains a segregated client money account with Emirates NBD in Dubai. All client money and funds from Islamic Window operations are kept in this non-interest bearing account.
